The French Government Tourist Office in London contacted Telelingua in mid-2008 with a view to translating all new articles and press releases posted on its website from French to English, and to upload all translated texts via its back office application.
The brief for this project was to ensure that the translations were both creative and flowing and specifically adapted to English-speaking readers. Our specialist linguistic expertise and travel knowledge, including two decades spent travelling the length and breadth of France, add an extra dimension to our work for this client.
We are now their main translators in the UK and work with them on a weekly basis. Through them, we have also developed links with other tourism partners, including the Paris-Ile de France and Corsica Tourist Boards.

Telelingua first started working with the Dordogne Tourist Board in 2004 on a project involving the French to English translation and localisation of its website.
Following on from this, Telelingua has provided numerous tourism translation services for the Dordogne Tourist Board, including the translation and design of two 30-page brochures from French into five languages (English, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian), and the translation of a 100,000-word accommodation database and a number of press releases.

In 1999, Jeremy Kerrison and Helen Isaacs approached this respected publisher, renowned for its impressive portfolio of tourism, arts and cultural publications, with a view to writing a guidebook in English on the city of Toulouse and the Midi-Pyrénées region.
Given the void in this market, Le Pérégrinateur agreed to the project and The Practical Guide to Toulouse/Midi-Pyrénées was born. The guide is now in its 6th edition, and has subsequently been translated into French. Telelingua continues to work with Le Pérégrinateur, translating a spin-off mini-guide to the city, as well as compact guides on Versailles, and The Lady and the Unicorn tapestries in the Cluny Museum in Paris.
